The New Look Lions

The AJC is running a story saying Matthew Stafford is telling friends he is going to be paid $40 million to be the Lion's first overall pick. The Detroit Lions are being a little more quiet about it and dropping Aaron Curry references.

Also in the story it appears the Lions are going for a complete makeover as they unveil a new logo on Monday as well.

My hope (if Stafford does end up in Detroit) is that he is capable of turning the franchise from this...

into this...


Perhaps a little less of this...

and a little bit more of this...


Until the franchise gets turned around, if they want to be associated with winning perhaps they should change from this...
